Message from the Director
Oriental medicine is a traditional East Asian medicine with a long history. Herbal medicine and acupuncture, the therapeutics of Oriental medicine, play a significant complementary role in the treatment of physical and mental disorders, cancers as well as lifestyle-related diseases in contemporary society. Practices of wellness, and diet therapeutics such as herbal cuisine dietetics are crucial to promote health and improve quality of life. Our university have set up various departments of medicine and oriental medicine, including acupuncture, pharmacy, nursing, nutrition, and rehabilitation department. In addition, we had established a friendship and cooperation program with Tianjin University of Traditional Chinese Medicine overseas. With the interdisciplinary and interscholastic cooperation of other universities, we aim to carry on the in-depth research on basic medicine, investigate the unrevealed mechanisms of action and clinical effects of oriental medicine, and contribute to the construction of an integrated complementary medical system.
